    Project Manager

    Originally from Milan, Ale joined Red to Square to develop her interest in the creative industry. A highly accomplished project manager, Ale is a lynch pin within the team, who, working closely with our clients throughout the process, takes extreme care in delivering our projects. Ale studied interior design, jewellery design and photography. Her interests are art history, design and music.

    ANDREI

    Team Leader

    Methodical and composed is how best to describe Andrei. He’s been with Red Square for two years and is a key team member. Detailed and multi skilled, his talents are so revered that he was asked to build the Directors pizza oven! Andrei has completed numorous Health & Safety courses, and we certainly hope he’s here to stay.

    SQUEAKY

    Site Supervisor

    Squeaky has been with Red Square for over fifteen years. He’s a skilled craftsmen with a broad skill set, which allows him to tackle most tasks; the more challenging the better. Squeaky speaks four languages and enjoys extreme sports, he completed his SSSTS two years ago and really enjoys working for a family business, in fact, he pretty much is family.

    SEYMOUR

    Home Automation

    Seymour has collaborated with Red Square since 2011 delivering integrated home technology solutions. His strength lies in a passion for detail and a commitment to seeing a project through to completion; combining sound technical knowledge with creative flair. Seymour is a graduate in electronic engineering, has a background in broadcast satellite, broadband communications and enjoys skiing and cycling.

  • ROBERT

    Site Manager

    Robert started with Red Square in 2010. His attention to detail, leadership and team ethic quickly gained him attention. Robert is an excellent man manager and has completed many projects for Red Square including Chalfont St. Giles. Robert finished his SMSTS a number of years ago and enjoys Red Square because of its people and variation. He’s also an excellent footballer and keen astronomer.

    JOE

    Apprentice

    Having hung up his apron, the Chef lifestyle was not for him. Keeping the site clean, tidy and supporting the team, Joe is a diligent apprentice who is working hard to learn his trade. Joe makes a mean cup of coffee and in his spare time is a successful DJ.

    LUKASZ

    Foreman

    Lukasz is a very hard working foreman who is a dab hand with an excavator. He shows a real zest for the heavier side of construction and his eye for detail takes no prisoners. Lukasz really enjoys working with the team and keeps us entertained with his amateur comedy.

    BARBARA

    Architectural Designer

    Barbara studied architecture at Universitat Politecnica de Valencia in Spain, moved to the UK in 2015 and joined Red Square. Interested in art and science Barbara found architecture to be the perfect combination of both disciplines. Barbara loves engaging with the clients and bringing their vision to life. As well being a keen sports person Barbara is very interested in literature and cinema.

     

  • NICOLA

    Office Manager

    Nicola has spent 18 years working in the financial industry, starting as a bank clerk. Her early training has been invaluable as our accounts always balance! Nicola enjoys investigating problems and finding a solution. In her spare time Nicola makes organic soap, is a go kart mean competitor and is studying to become AAT Pro qualified.

    DAVID

    Health & Safety

    David spent 8 years in the Army, his military training has made him a great team player, mixing his time up between logistics, site support and health & safety. Over the last three years he has made a significant difference to our Health & Safety processes; and is currently waiting for his Nebosh results. David is a keen sailor and voracious reader.

    Director

    Growing up in South Africa with a father who owned a residential construction company, Ros developed a unique blend of both creative and technical knowledge. She went on to study Interior Design and Architecture at university. After moving to the UK in 1998 and completing a number of successful commercial projects for Morgan Lovell, Ros returned to her first passion, and founded Red Square. In her spare time Ros loves to paint and sail.

     

    RICHARD

    Managing Director

    Richard brings the commercial rigour to the company. Beginning his career in international logistics, he moved to interior workplace design and build where he held senior Director positions in the corporate world before leaving to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions. Richard believes in forging strong long lasting relationships which have continually proven successful. In his spare time Richard loves watching sport, trips to the theatre and visiting art galleries.

    General Manager

    Before moving into the built environment James had a successful career in the super yacht industry. His experience of luxury bespoke products and business skill set add real value to Red Square. James read mechanical engineering, is currently studying to become MCIOB and driving forward Red Square’s business development. James is a keen cook, sailor and loves to exercise. 

    MARIUSZ

    Finishing Forman

    Mariusz has years of experience working with rare materials and luxury finishes. Over seeing all our finishing teams Mariusz works closely with the site managers and client team to ensure every last detail is considered; this process starts at the first fix. It cannot be underestimated how the early construction undertakings impact the final finish. When not considering a rare stone detail Mariusz plays and follows football.

    LES

    Site Manager

    Les has over 30 years of site experience. Starting as an apprentice joiner he’s acquired his experience and knowledge from the ground up. His mix of hands on experience and technical knowledge along with the completion of numerous high end residential projects in the super prime London postcodes make him a valuable asset. Les is a keen sportsmen and life long Liverpool fan.

    JAREK

    Joiner

    Jarek trained and worked as a cabinet joiner before moving to site based projects. This understanding of materials and detailing have been a natural segway into a broader skill set. Whilst Jarek is a highly skilled joiner he is always happy to muck in, do what ever it takes to get the job done and always has a smile on his face. His spare time is spent studying European history specifically the ‘migrations’ and break down of the Roman Empire.

    The Federation of Master Builders recognises professionalism, trust and quality. It is hub for learning and recommendation. Through the FMB we are able to offer collateral warranties and other construction insurance schemes.

  • CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTORS

    Considerate Constructors are an organisation whose principle goal is to improve the image and working standards of construction. Not only that, you have to be a member to operate in most London boroughs.

  • ANNUAL HEALTH & SAFETY AUDIT

    Site safety is priority and Red Square invest heavily in their processes. All on and offsite team members are accredited beyond what is required. With a continuous improvement strategy external site and corporate audits always score above 90%.

HISTORY

From 2000 to 2018 Red Square has completed numerous residential projects. Here’s a brief timeline of the company’s life.

2000

Red Square is founded by Ros. Ros recruits Rupert Mann who worked with Mary Fox Linton on One Aldwych. Our first office opens in the Kings Road, Chelsea.

 

2001

Red Square undertake £8 million pound AON office interior rebrand. Richard joins to incorporate Red Square and formally structure the business.

 

2002

Princes Gate SW7 – lateral conversion of two apartments into one for a developer. Challenge was creating linkage; floor levels between the two were 1200mm different.

2002

As the team continues to grow, Red Square relocate to modern offices in Fulham, West London. This will be their home for over a decade.

2003

Red Square are engaged to design and project manage a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired private home; a modern steel frame construction of 32,000 sqft.

2003

Ros joins the crew of an Oyster 53, crossing the Atlantic, from Gran Canaria to St Lucia 16 days later. Ros meets crew members David Hartley, her future husband and Captain James Lund-Lack.

2004-2005

Design & build project in Fulham including the addition of a new 1000 sqft basement, rear extension and ‘feature’ glass/stone stair case.

2005

Having completed a West London Victorian house, Pro-Struct Ltd owned by Ros Oberg’s father, Mike O’Shea, merge with Red Square to become the in-house build team.

2006

Ros spends 2 years in Nicaragua. Setting up a subsidiary company to import tools and materials for charity projects in El Lagartillo and surrounding areas.

2006

Red Square create a split-level penthouse in Hampstead. The clients were inspired by contemporary architecture and the juxtaposition of new and old.

2007

Commence design & build process for a large property in Kensington. Planning and design takes 2 years and full construction eighteen months.

2008

Red Square are appointed to completely refurbish and modernise a Grade 2 listed Holland Park mews house, providing a full design & build service.

2008

Ros returns from Nicaragua and design work for a house in Highgate begins. Starting her career in construction and enthused by design Ale Boni joins Red Square.

2009

Highgate project is completed which included the addition of a large basement with leisure facilities and significant re-modelling of the existing property.

2010

Major building works start in Kensington for the renovation and expansion of substantial family home near Holland Park, in West London.

2011

Red Square win the exciting opportunity to remodel a Georgian house in Kensington; managing the entire process from concept to completion.

2012

Complete Kensington family home which included an additional 3000 sqft basement with spa, gym, sauna, climbing wall and bespoke staircase.

2012

A life long supporter of Chelsea Football Club, Richard and his son watch Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

2013

Red Square are appointed to refurbish an impressive double fronted, detached family home in North London with an internal space of 7,557 sqft.

2013

New build development of a 14,700 sqft private residence in 7.5 acres of ground commences. Requiring significant ground works and landscaping.

2014

Red Square completely refurbish an Arts & Crafts house in Surrey. All original features and characteristics were retained and carefully restored.

2014

Completion of large private home in Chalfont St. Giles with high specification interior, luxury spa and complex home automation system.

 

2015

Based in the heart of the town, Red Square relocate their headquarters to Tunbridge Wells, just forty five minutes from London and their satellite offices. 

2015

The new owners of a six storey house in Knightsbridge appoint Red Square to fully refurbish, including the installation of a lift and swimming pool.

2015

Having finished her architecture degree in Valencia, Barbara Roldan Ramos joins. First project providing technical design support for full refurbishment of a Victorian cottage in Windsor.

2016

Red Square are appointed by EWA architects on an extensive refurbishment of a Kensington town house, including single storey rear extension and full refurbishment.

2016

The Red Square reach extends to Borneo. Red Square are asked to design a contemporary family home which can cope with the local environment.

2017

The owners of a large double fronted house in Hampstead ask Red Square to undertake a baroque inspired refurbishment and extension.

2018

Red Square re brand to showcase their pedigree in high end residential and their finesse in the detailed construction of ‘restrained luxurious’ design.
